engine sometimes stalling when returning to idle... vacuum hose issue?

So like two years ago when I replaced my valve cover gasket, I remember the end of the vacuum hose you have to move being all hard and cracked but I didn't have a spare, so I kind of glued it back together and let it ride. Things seemed fine so I figured no big deal.

part 4

Fast forward and for the past two summers, when the A/C has been on and there's been a greater load on my engine... I'll be driving and take my foot off the clutch to come to a stop and my car won't always catch the idle RPM before it drops too low and it'll stall. If I'm rolling, I pop the clutch back out and it fires right back up... and when actually idling it's fine but I couldn't figure out what it was.

Well something tickled my brain the other day and made me think back to the vacuum hose... is that most likely the culprit here? I'm decent at working on my car but there are definitely gaps in my knowledge that keep me from being able to answer questions like that myself.

Thanks!
