9.0:1 -> 11.5:1 (high comp) - why/why not

Given the looming engine rebuild I was wondering if I should increase the ratio to 11.5:1 considering my AEM v1 and 93 octane local gas (R+M/2).



Do I have any reasons to change? Is it considered an 'upgrade' (looking at the recent success of Marcus' / Ken's builds)
