Hello,
I am a newbie and new to e46's although not new to BMW as I have had loads, mainly e30's, and still have a 1973 2002tii touring in the garage here.
Anyway, I have just bought a 2002 330d Sport touring and I want to change the wheels around.
I has standard m tec suspension and standard 18" alloys which are 8x18 et47, and 8.5x18 et50 with 225/40/18 and 255/35/18 tires.
I am looking at BSDM 0.01's which are 8.5x18 et35 and 9.5x18 et40, which I propose to use the same tires on.
Will these go on ok without any rubbing, and what if I lower the car a little - not drastically? Digging around here it looks like the front will be OK but rears would be better at et45?
I am happy to roll the fenders but how much will/might they need, and where will the tyres rub, centre of the fender?
Potential problem is that all four fenders are showing signs of very light rust and I am worried I will not get a uniform flare if they need a lot
Thanks for your help
Derek
