Hello everyone, yesterday I was driving my 01 m3 and no issues whatsoever. I parked at my house and came back 10 minutes to leave but no start. It does one click noise and as long as your holding the key on START it will not click again. This click feels like a beginning of it trying to start. If I hold it onto start position it smokes from what it looks like to be around the starter/transmission area. I have tried replacing the starter today and even took my old one to get tested. No luck and my old one is good. I've tried to jumpstart it even though I knew it wasn't the issue. I pulled up codes for tps and pedal sensor but I believe something else might be the issue. Any advice?
