I recently replaced the DS front axle, and when I separated the tie rod end, I noticed what looked like a brass or copper ring that fell out after the separation process.
The axle install went well-everything is where it is supposed to be, however, I now have some vibration in the steering wheel I didn't have prior to this r&r.
Could the aforementioned ring have anything to do with that? I don't see any mention of this ring in any of the axle r&rs. I followed all torque spec guidelines at re-assembly..
Strut looks good, pads and rotor are fine, and fcabs are fine as well. The tie rod itself still is "stiff"....
What are your thoughts?
