Since childhood, I have been a fan of that rugged look of group B and, generally, rally cars, especially those with a coupe-like appearance in contrast with their offroad drivetrain, like the famous Porsche modified for Paris-Dakar.
Maybe, it was because of their resemblance with those Tonka toy cars, if I remember right, the ones with awkward large wheels for the size of the car. :)
Anyway, as I could not find anything about a custom e46, modified to mix the two worlds of both (soft) off road use and tarmac sportiness, I would like to ask your feedback, in case you are aware of such projects (presuming, in US, there is a higher chance to have some enthusiasts interested in this).
I have encountered few examples of such mods, for e46 rally use (see photos below, a compact e46 from Estonia and an M3 from UK, I think) but, nothing about a street legal one. For example, just taking an e46 coupe and install a higher ground clearance suspension system, some extra underfloor protection and larger tires.
