I could only wish it was in the night. I could roll over and go back to sleep But it's in our 2004 330 xi. There is a noticeable "clunk" in the right front when the tire goes over a rough spot in the road or backing out of the driveway.
Sound like a ball joint that's ready to fall out! metal to metal sound, yet all rubber looks solid. The sound doesn't change with speed, mostly going forward or reverse - either.
Replaced control arms and drivers interball joint; passenger inter ball joint solid. Checked everything on a rack that is in the front suspension, the engine mounts look ok, just wondering where to look - Any ideas?
