I've been looking into tower-style a tower-style HEPA filter to tuck into a corner of the bedroom or our living room. It seems like the reviews on these things are all over the board - and my wife is dead-set against them.
My wife has major allergies - including ones that are partially kicked off by our dogs. Pollen gets her the worst... She's miserable about now through the first flower bloom, improves a little, then gets shitty when ragweed blooms.
I have minor allergies - tree & ragweed pollen gets me in the fall.
One of the dogs is a German Shorthair Pointer, so he gets into all of this ****, drags it inside...
My wife "thinks" these things are a waste of $$. I was looking at one of the non-ionized, HEPA only (possibly with UV) for $150-200 - figured it would do nothing but help...
We also buy the heavy-duty furnace/AC filters that help with dust/pollen too - but obviously that only helps when the thing is kicked in...
What do you think? Waste of $$ ?? Do you use one? Did it help?
