330d poor running and gearchange. Auto

Recently changed fuel filter as showing signs of fuel starvation. Since then it won't rev cleanly but not all the time. Sometimes revs up perfectly. Cannot get it past 40mph and the auto box is very reluctant to change gear although I can do it in tiptronic mode. Any ideas gratefully received.
