Worth it to salvage and repair?

Hi all, first time poster here. I drive a 2003 325i sedan.

So a week and a half ago some thoughtless jackhole rear ended me at a stoplight. The insurance company is declaring the vehicle totalled and offering $4300 for it. If I opt to keep it they would be subtracted $361 from that amount. Their appraiser estimated repair cost at a touch over $3000.

I definitely think it is worth the $361. The wheels and tires alone are worth more than that and of course the engine runs like a top. What I'm not sure about it is whether it is worth it to me to try and get it repaired.

If I did it would have to be somewhere that quoted me less than $3k to do it. It would have a salvage title so I'm not fixated on taking it to stealership body shop, nor would I be averse to getting parts from a salvage yard. Resale value is crap at this point but the thought of sending it to rest in some boneyard breaks my heart. There are a lot of good miles left in that engine and the chassis seems just fine.

Thoughts? Opinions? Have a look at the pictures I took and tell me what you think please.
