I am the new owner of a year 2000 323ci and I'm loving it!
I live in Almeria, Spain, and picked up the car 3 weeks ago and boy do you get a lot of bang for your buck! It's done 205,000 km so high mileage and I paid 3100 euro's which was a tad high methinks, given a problem or two I have with her.
I get a bit of a thump from the back on gear changes which I think must be a worn transmission coupling and also a very slight leak from one of the gaskets on the exhaust manifold and both these things I'll have my trusty mechanic, Graham, sort out.
This is my second BMW, my first being a 635 csi I had a decade or so ago and a point of interest maybe is that my dear departed Pa had the aluminium bodied 3.0 csl and I was in it when someone crashed into us and wrote it off and we took a tree out head on which shunted the engine back 2 feet and we weren't wearing seat belts and walked away unharmed. I think my Pa got around 5k from the insurance but now they are really expensive, super car prices.
I also have the latest Eonon head unit and reversing camera I'm about to install and have to use the A0579 harness so I'll be getting stuck in on the boards tring to find info and it was googling for this that got me here.
And the pic of the dog is Madelaine, she stowed away on the quiet in my car and I didn't realise she was onboard till I got home and has been checked out by the vet and micro-chipped.
