Before i start, please, i have read all the horror stories and i would love to not be abused for buying an ssg/smg or whatever anyone wants to call it.
OK, so i just bought this car yesterday. (my 4th e46.. addicted!) 2002 330ci m sport, 84k, full service history, great runner, super clean. love it!
so the thing is when the car is driven, on up-shift, it changes gear and there is a slight slip of the clutch after the gear is engaged. similar to when a new driver, driving a manual box, cant get their foot off the clutch pedal quick enough. like its 'rides' a little.
now in sport mode when driven up through the revs or driven like an old couple on a sunday drive it does NOT slip at all.
just wondering weather this slip is me being a little finicky? and they all do it to keep the car going smoothly during slow driving?
any thoughts appreciated. i'm fairly technically minded with cars so the more info people give the better.
also i'm in the U.K if that makes any difference?
Thanks everyone.
