Hi everyone...
I was about a mile from home when I saw a spray of coolant come out from under the hood. The low coolant light came on but went away, so I (stupidly) decided to nurse it home.
Turns out the tab from the reservoir going to the hose that leads to the water pump had broken and the hose was loose. I'm going to redo the entire system since I just hit 100k and it was overdue anyways, but my question is...
How likely is it that the motor was overheated and is now FUBAR? Drove it for around 3 minutes, and there was still some coolant dripping from the tank so it wasn't bone dry... Temp gauge didn't budge but I'm not convinced it was reading anything since the pump might not have had any coolant in it...
