FS: 1997 BMW M3/2/5. Techno Violet on Modena, 58k miles

I purchased this car from a friend in Sept 2010 wth 57xxx miles. Currently own three M3's right now so I must let this one go.

Car was sent to Dinan when new by first owner, received basically everything. Sold to 2nd owner, who is my buddy, back in 98-99 with <5k miles. I've never registered it so technically it is still a 2-owner car, it has sat in my garage since with occasional starts and drives around the block. It has been in California for its entire life. It was his show/autox car so I removed most of the mods and the car is pretty much stock now save for a few items. It has ZKW Euro ellipsoids (wired in properly with Euro twist connectors), Z3 steering rack, Bilstein shocks, Rogue shortshifter, JB Racing Stage 2 LTW clutch/flywheel, S54 radiator, Rogue tranny mounts, shimmed RTABS, and delrin diff bushing. Rear deck is freshly redyed black, I had the front seats professionally restored last week, new AC belt, new shift knob, and gave it one hell of a detail. It's a very clean car but it does have some normal signs of use for a 17 year old car; peppering on the front bumper and a few small nicks here and there that i've touched up, two wheels have some curb rash etc.. This is one for someone who wants an honest low mileage car in an exceptional color combo to enjoy. It's in great shape but you wouldn't be afraid to use it! You won't find many this nice anymore... everyone who has seen it really likes it. The car looks very special.

It has a dealer-installed OE flat-arch spoiler, and the manual Modena vader interior came from a '99. (It originally had dove grey). I personally swapped everything PROPERLY including dash, carpet, b-pillars, door sills, etc. I also retrofitted the HK stereo. It has the full 18 button onboard computer and staggered DS2 wheels with Hankook tires that are nearing the end of their life (still some tread left though). The passenger fender was damaged before my ownership and replaced with an OEM DOT-R one. The paint match is very good though as you can see in pics. All other panels are original. Aside from that the only other thing with the car is it has some flywheel chatter at idle when cold or AC is on from being lightened (which is normal) That's everything I can think of off the top of my head.

58,580 original miles as of 9/29/14. Asking $15,500 obo. Car is located in Santa Monica, CA
