P1343 and P1349 codes continue after coil swaps

2002 BMW 325i (E46). I'm getting P1343, P1345, and P1349 codes, even after I swap the coils. The P1345 and P1343 are somewhat intermittent. I cleaned the MAF, no change. I replaced the Oil Separator and all the hoses fairly recently...and just re-snapped the top hose back on (it was loose). Made no difference. Pulled the plugs and cleaned them (they looked normal). No oil in the galleys. I do have an oil leak somewhere in the area of the oil separator that I haven't been able to locate (which is why I replaced the oil separator). The dipstick hold-down bolt was loose when I got in there, and I tightened it down. When I did the Oil Separator and hoses, the VANOS looked good.

I'm hesitant to replace the Camshaft Position Sensors. One post I found suggests that this would be the intake sensor that is failing, but nothing else that supports that. I've thrown parts at this car in the past, and with BMW prices, I'm reluctant to continue doing that.

Ideas on how to continue? Is there a test for the CPS's?

Thanks
