I have had the car for 2 months , after lots and lots of reading I think I have a weird idea
My car doesn't go into limp until 60+- mph and when it does it just down shifts , if I just kerp going limp mode will turn on , if I come to a stop and let it shift down OR press the peddle into over drive it will go back down and shift normal... If I drive the car like a grandma it does good (no hard starts) , I have had a spare on the passenger side rear since I bought it and it has a lower profile tire , my traction control dsc cuts off randomly sometimes I'm assuming because of the smaller tire messing with speed sensor or something .
My thermostat is also bad , takes my car forever to reach operating temp (doing overhaul soon)
With this info I have had tranny fluid checked and the car shifts great even rides smooth and pulls perfectly in 5th (I get gear 5 incorrect ratio when limp mode triggers) I fo think its slipping 1to 2nd if I drive like I'm at the strip
