Audio gurus, simple and probably dumb question

I'm buying 2 way components for the up front, and I was thinking JBl 638's in back, as they've been previously recommended. They are 3 ways speakers. That doesn't mess anything up right? **** I know nothing.

For what it's worth the fronts i was looking at are Polk DB6501
