The quickest M3 ever produced of its time. Chassis designed to be ‘faster’ than the engine making its handling feel secure and safe at any speed. Torque peak occurs about halfway through the V8’s operating range so every gear feels long and strong. Coupled by an amazing snarl through the professional installed Dinan cat-back exhaust system on this particular M. With its brand new Pilot Super Sports you can expect to take full use of this M’s 0.95g of gripping power, which translates to about 75 mph through a slalom course.
The M’s electronic damper control suspension broadens this iteration of the M3 giving it a range of comfort vs. aggressive handling in through the use of its various suspension mods. Selecting Sport or M can also be further tuned to the drivers specifications through the iDrive system of the vehicle.
The interior is in excellent condition and offers all the comforts of a luxury sedan housed in an aggressive drivers type coupe. BMW has made sure that the ergonomics of this new iteration of the M coupe provides a clean, easy to use and intuitive layout that is easy to get used to.
With both automatic and manual modes the driver can select his/her preference for shifting the car’s double-clutch 7 speed gearbox. This gearbox reduces shift pauses to less than one tenth of a second and shortens the 0-62 mph sprint time by 0.2 seconds vs. a manual transmission. Offering the driver more precise shifting and control of the vehicle. In this years model iteration the this new GETRAG double-clutch is similar to the SMG of previous M’s but offers far more speed and efficiency during the shifting process.
