There is splitting or cracking of the vinyl in the usual spot : outside panel, about 2 in. X 2 in., at the mid point. Centre panel stitching looks OK.
This car is a keeper.
Vinyl repair - about $125
Replacing the damaged panel only - about $250
Is a replacement seat bottom available ? If the extra cost isn't too painful, I wonder if this might be the way to go. Would bug me to have to go in for
repairs again if say the stitching in the centre was to split. 14 year old vinyl
on the seat that takes the most wear and tear - want to fix it once and fix it right.
Seems to me that all driver's seats in vinyl crack or split in this area sooner or later. Not a surprise really I suppose.
