The boot is in nice shape and it still lights up as it should. There is decent amount of wear toward the front of the knob. However, when it's installed it's not very noticeable because it is the part of the knob that faces the dash/ radio.
I took it out and installed the AKG s/s in my car and will not need it in the future as this is a dedicated track car.
