Recently while getting down and dirty with Charlotte (my devoted 323i) I uncovered every 3er owner's worst nightmare...

Oh yes, I was the lucky owner of a destroyed subframe mount (front drivers side). I was notified that the repair costs would exceed the value of the car; however being a true fanatic, I could not let such an obstacle stand between me and the ultimate driving machine.
A few terrifying weeks later, I had it shipped off to Worldwide Auto Body in Greensboro to have the subframe removed and inspected, the damaged sheet metal removed, reinforcement plates welded into place, rust prevention coating applied and a wheel alignment.

I requested they photograph the procedures ect. for my viewing pleasure. I was hoping for more pictures, but I can't expect top quality pictures from a bunch of mechanics. However, what they lacked in photographic creativity, they delivered with results.
I got my baby back approximately a week ago and I am convinced they gave me a different car. The drivetrain suddenly performed pure, the traditional first and second gear knocking from the back end was no more and no more engine sputtering!
