Magic Powder isn't so magical.

In my quest to make 'manscaping' and 'metrosexualism' a less time consuming endeavor, I tried a 'razorless' approach to shaving yesterday that garnered mixed results.

I present to you with Exhibit A: Magic Shaving Powder

After reading the reviews on various websites, I was optimistic that I had stumbled upon a product that would effectively allow me to lay down the razor indefinitely. I chose to try this product on my face/neck (..since it was apparently formulated for face use only), however it didn't produce the results that I had hoped for. In fact, the results were so lackluster [in my case] that I returned the powder this morning along with the awesome little Kabuki brush that I purchased to apply the mixture. I was admittedly saddened a bit to see that softly bristled brush go. So soft! :eeps: R.I.P. Kabuki!

I now present you with Exhibit B: Magic Razorless Shave Cream

This product is marketed to provide "Smooth Head Maintenance", so I spread this cream all over (..there's some innuendo for you GRIF ) in an anticipatory fashion in hopes that it would provide exactly that. To my surprise, it didn't do too bad of a job, but it still wasn't as close a shave as I can produce with a razor, so I ended up running a razor over my head this morning. It worked much better than the powdered option above (..which is manufactured by the same company). I'm going to try the cream again on my face to see how well it works, and I'm also going to try it on my head again in the next couple of days (...and stretch the wait time from 4 minutes to 7 minutes). If it manages to remove facial hair adequately I will be a happy man. Razor burn/bumps/etc. are the pits.
