Why are many women so snobbish and annoying with with equality/feminism?

:dunno:

I don't get it. It seems like everyday I read the news, there's at least one article highlighting how women are still facing "inequality" in :insert subject here:. I don't think I've ever read an article of a man complaining about the other gender (at least not at the national news level).

I have an older colleague who is a single woman who thinks highly of herself and believes women are better suited to do all positions (management especially) in the business world. She's constantly bombarding my email with pointless and annoying articles that display feminism (if we want to call it that) to the highest order. I feel like I'm having my nosed rubbed in sh!t as if I me being born male is wrong. Then there's another older woman colleague who feels the need to throw in snarky comments in meetings towards us younger guys as if to display she's perfect. I've talked with her outside of meetings about it and reminded her how unprofessional it is, but me thinks she could care less as she continues to act in this manner (next step is HR or her manager). Frankly it gets annoying being surrounded and reminded of this subject constantly.

Wtf gives? Why can't people just be themselves and treat others with respect regardless of gender? Why can't women realize in order to get promoted and get ahead, it also takes confidence and a large dose of self-esteem in addition to competence...

DO WOMEN SHY AWAY FROM COMPETITION?

DO MEN COMPETE TOO MUCH?

Competitive high ranking positions are largely occupied by men, and women remain scarce in engineering and sciences. Explanations for these occupational differences focus on discrimination and preferences for work hours and field of study. We examine if absent these factors gender differences in occupations may still occur. Specifically we explore whether women and men, on a leveled playing field, differ in their selection into competitive environments. Men and women in a laboratory experiment perform a real task under a non-competitive piece rate and a competitive tournament scheme. Although there are no gender differences in performance under either compensation, there is a substantial gender difference when participants subsequently choose the scheme they want to apply to their next performance. Twice as many men as women choose the tournament over the piece rate. This gender gap in tournament entry is not explained by performance either before or after the entry decision. Furthermore, while men are more optimistic about their relative performance, differences in beliefs only explain a small share of the gap in tournament entry. In a final task we assess the impact of non-tournament-specific factors, such as risk and feedback aversion, on the gender difference in compensation choice. We conclude that even controlling for these general factors, there is a large residual gender gap in tournament entry.

The Confidence Gap

Evidence shows that women are less self-assured than men—and that to succeed, confidence matters as much as competence. Here's why, and what to do about it.

Here's the latest article she sent me this afternoon. The author who wrote this article is a dolt IMO. Self-centered and selfish is how this reads to me.

Inb4 all the bleeding-heart liberals tell me to shut the f up and "I don't understand". Frankly I'm tired of having to be PC all the time and walk on eggshells.

End rant. And cool story bro. :thanks:
