So I pull into my driveway around 8:00pm after a 12 hour day at work totally exhausted and when I push the button to close my top it stops with the clamps just above the windshield frame. :banghead: I'm like "Are you  Kidding me?". So I spend the next half hour trying to get it to finish closing by manually moving it up and down but no go so I got the Allen wrench out and closed it manually. The weird thing is the flashing red light will not go out! It's been two days and it still flashing. The top is solidly connected to both the windshield frame and the back lid also feels securely latched in place.
My first question is: Can I drive it with the flashing red light? I have not driven it to date but it will be a problem soon if I don't have my car. I'm I need to identify and or clear some codes. The local Indy shops don't seem much better than the dealers for this stuff as I've had some bad experiences so I would like to find a process (computer software) to diagnose and clear the codes myself.
Second: In the past before I fixed the ubiquitous "broken wire" I could raise and lower the top manually and then push the button an it would finish opening or closing. Any thoughts on where to start with this problem?
Any help is greatly appreciated. :thanks:
