My window regulator broke on my 2000 328i so I ordered a new one. My dad replaced the part (only to find it isn't working right :banghead: ) and decided to put everything back and work on it next weekend. Before he put the door panel back on, he routed the bowden wire up and around the air bag instead of behind it. :tsk: Now my door won't open from the inside or the outside. :ben: The door locks/unlocks, and when I pull on the interior handle when the door is locked, it unlocks. Is there any way for me to get the door opened? I'm thinking the latch isn't properly connected, or I will need to replace the bowden cable. I understand that this is a rare even on the E46's and that there are few to no solutions. Anything helps!
As for the window: After I installed the regulator, the window stops about a quarter of the way down, and goes half as fast as it usually does. And the motor is just fine. Has anyone experienced the same? And is there a solution to all of this?
