I've ordered the MT F10 M5 shift knob (illuminated ZHP shift knob) and am looking for some help on installing it.
I'm not sure which wire to tap into for illuminating the knob. Every DIY out there seems to be for E46 M3s, where you would simply tap into the wire which was used to illuminate the stock shift knob. Which wire would be the easiest to tap into for the non-M E46?
Moreover, instead of cutting the plastic connector on the shift knob and hard-wiring the shift knob, can I buy the other end of the plastic connector so I can easily remove my shift knob in the future? I can't find the part number on realoem.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
