I'm just looking for someone elses opinion on this and i kinda want to rant :\
Ill try to keep it as short as possible. Someone merged into my lane and hit me a couple days ago. After speaking to his insurance, his adjuster says "well i dont believe my party is all at fault here" i asked why and she said "because you have to be aware of all of your surroundings" and i'm thinking.. wtf? so i'm responsible for his mistake?
I wasn't aware he was coming into my lane until a 1/4 of his car was in it, **** happens so fast, i hit the brakes, tried to move over as much as i could to lessen any impact but the inevitable still happened.
Maybe it's just me and yeah of course you should be aware of your surroundings but how in the world does that put me at fault for someone elses mistake?
