I took the car to a tire shop for allignment and the service guy told me that the passenger side bush is really bad and the driver side control arm is probably bent that the wheel looks as if it is a bit backwards.
The Bmw service says that it is smarter idea to replace all tie rods, suspension mountings, control arms and bushes as Lemforder.
Questions:
1- Should I listed the tire shop mechanic and only replace the driver side coltrol arm and 2 bushings which is very cheaper?
Note: If I go with that option I will definitely buy FEBI as it is cheaper, if I change the whole front axle parts then I will go with Lemforder.
2- Is Febi okay and will a driver side new FEBI with the current passenger side (okay condition control arm) and 2 FEBI bushes last 2 years?
3- I noticed that my car has S226A Sport susp. setting and the front shocks have white colour BMW logo SACHS sticker saying 4Z Sport and I think the number was 82 4903 6 621. I wonder whether this shocks are factory (made in 2000 with the car) ????
4- If I go with the more expensive option (of replacing all front axle bushing components) then will I need to choose a Sport version of control arms and bushes?
5- I also want to replace the rear shocks. The car had 16 inch Style43 star spoke wheels from factory but now has Style89 17 inch wheels 225 45 17, and for some reason the previous owner replaced the rear shocks with standard one. So if I again replace it with a Sport version will it be okay with 17" Style89 wheels without touching the chassis?
6- Is a 4z Sport shocker used only at S226A package or is it also used at ///M Sport package as well?
7- How will I know that my 4 springs are S226A Sport Suspension Package? I suspect that they might have been replaced with the standart or aftermarket version by the previous owner...
Sorry that I asked too many questions, but I would like to fix this issues ASAP.
