2001 E46 here.
Long story short, a few weeks awhile while driving on the freeway my serpentine belt broke. I had it towed back to my house and have been slowly removing my entire front end to not only replace the serpentine but various pulleys, clean the radiator, replace hoses, etc. I wanted to get a good look behind the bumper since the car is at about 210k.
What I am looking for is a complete engine bay diagram that includes instructions on the pulleys/tensioner and how the serpentine belt is arranged, more details the better. A diagram on what each pulley does and related components would be helpful too.
Also, in my pics, what is this squiggled up belt (the remainder of the serpentine belt?) and what si this hose with a big hole in it? When I started taking the front off this was off wherever it goes.

Also, how do you remove this component? Do you have to remove the hoses?
