Electrical Gremlins (sensor errors, k-bus errors, and more)

Looking for some experiences people have had here. Getting K-bus short to battery and completely wonky sensor readings. DME reporting CPS errors at the same time as MAF errors, and DSC is reporting its own errors simultaneously as well?

For reference: DME error code english descriptions

Bought the car (2001 325i Auto) less than a month ago. Pulled the DME and Tranny computer after purchase and got these codes:

DME Shadow, DME Error codes, Tranny Errors

Fast forward a few weeks. I install an aftermarket Chinese stereo with "CAN BUS adaptor" that interfaces with the I-BUS for steering wheel controls (NOTE: I-BUS is very different than CAN bus or K-bus!! If you don't know this you probably can't help me). I also dump an entire cup of coffee on my lap/on center console/under driver seat. These events both happen Friday. Drive some Friday, not at all Saturday.

Sunday rolls around and the girlfriend calls me to tell me that the car has stalled, ABS+DSC+CEL on. Car idles rough and wants to stall.

I show up and car is running fine again with no error lights. Pull codes and get these:

DSC (note these also include old codes since I didn't read or clear this module the first time), DME, Instrument Cluster

Clear all codes and car goes back to running like usual. Drive to work monday no issues. Tuesday, on the way home from work, DSC goes crazy and then lights up error lights. Shut car off and turn back on. Start to move and DSC acts up again. (Thinks car is skidding when its not, then disables itself).

Pull the following codes:

DSC, DME, Steering angle sensor.

Other possibly related issues with the car: Final stage resistor is bad and so fan doesn't blow. Tail light has grounding issue.

Drove all day today (Wednesday) with no issues. Theme seems to be when the car is HOT.

What do you guys think? Any suggestions?
