Doing "cooling system over haul"

I recently bought the "Cooling System Overhaul" kit from Bav auto for $364. I am decent when it comes to mechanical work, but have not done any work on my BMW before, is there anything that I should know about process of doing this overhaul before i start? All help will be greatly appreciated.
