I bought a BMW 1999 323ci coupe with nearly 240000 km as a second car. I have checked a rear subframe and there is no issues found ( jacked and with inpection lamp) checked in the boot also. Also I have jacked car and wigeled all 4 wheels, 3-9 o'clock and 6-12 o'clock hard moves. Rear wheels did not move a bit, rock solid. I have more than 2 meters and hundred kilos. I gave them a good slack but nothing happens. However the front wheels have 3 to 9 o'clock play only and while slacking them I can hear some noise, lets say, in the middle of the car! Previous owner (work coleague) reported me that during the winter period while raining steering is really difficult. ( steering wheel off center). What could that be? Any help would be great!
