Rain sensor?

Hello all - I have an 02 e46 convertible. Yesterday out of the blue I saw my windshield was cracked. Called safelite to get it replaced. They asked whether I had a rain sensor? As I don't drive this car often, I am unsure. I have a few questions.



1. Is there a sure way to determine whether I have the rain sensor or not?

2. They quoted me $440 for the job. Is that good or bad?

3. Anything I should watch out for?
