Hi
I'm trying to pin down the source for an intermittent squealing noise. I've heard it only a couple of times when accelerating at about 2500-3000 rpm & windows open. I first suspected the belt slipping but it seems to be in good shape and tight.
All other pulleys seem to be good, no sticking or play, but the water pump / power steering pump pulley has some (maybe about 0.5 mm) longitudinal (in-out) play in the shaft. Link to video below:

Is that acceptable in the N42 engine (in which water pump and power steering pump share the same shaft)? There is no lateral play in any pulley. The guide / tensioner pulleys don't feel rough but don't rotate completely freely either.
I haven't noticed any other symptoms; coolant temperature is spot on and power steering works fine.
