A few days ago, while I had the car on jack I noticed this odd wear pattern on my front tires. They are Goodyear eagle f1 asymmetric 2, been on the car for around 3 years.
At the middle of the tire, as seen from the pictures, there is a joining of what appears to be 2 different tire compounds. From middle towards the inner side, the rubber is softer, whilst harder from middle towards the outer side.
Apparently at the seaming of the 2 compounds, the wear is not even, causing a small "step" at the softer side. Don't know how else to explain it. Does this appear normal or not?
I have been trying for the past months to tackle a steering wheel vibration between 100-140km/h and I was wondering if this could be the culprit.

The rear tires, have the same seam, but there is no uneven wear. Yes tire pressures are checked weekly and I'm at 2.3 front and 2.5 bar rear.
Front: 225/35/18
Rear: 255/30/18
