This car isn't for sale because I need to sell it or really want to sell it. It's for sale at a price that I think is fair for what the car is, and a price that I would be willing to let it go for. If the car doesn't sell, that's 100% fine by me. I spent a long time looking for a low owner count lsb with a manual, all original paint, no mods, and BMW serviced (bearing recall done at 19074 miles on 3/15/2004). I have done a lot of work on the car recently and it's in perfect working order and the car drives flawlessly. Having been only nice weather car for all of it's owners, there is also no corrosion anywhere. The subframe was also inspected recently and is perfectly fine.

The car drove well before the all of the work was done, but it really drives great now. The e46 M3 was always lacking a little bit in stock form. It wasn't it's performance, but it was the way it connected the driver and performance to the ground. With all new suspension and short shift kit, the car feels like it should have when it was new. These coilovers are not an extremely aggressive kit, but they firm it up a bit and just make the car feel more planted. Now the car is setup pretty low right now, but there is absolutely ZERO rubbing of any kind. Visually I think the car looks great low, but it also makes it so that I can only drive it on the certain few roads that it should be driven on. Every time I take the car out, I plan out my route. This gives the car a little more sense of occasion and also insures that I never take the car down a bumpy road it shouldn't be driven on. The car can be very easily raised up if this is not to the new owners liking.
So basically what we have is a near mint condition, all original, LSB e46 M3, that is guaranteed to run really well for a really long time. This is a no questions, no stories car that could be driven across the country at any point in time.
The car was purchased by a local BMW CCA member and kept it for the majority of the cars life. He then passed it down to his son in-law who eventually traded it in at my good friends high line car store. He knew how picky I am with my cars and gave me a call before the deal was even done. As soon as I saw and inspected the car, there was no question as to whether I would purchase it or not.
I have had some very rare colored BMW's including a 1 of 3 Imola Red / Modena e36 M3 and for me, a BMW is not worth buying unless it has all original paint. I use to be a detailer at a BMW dealership (where this car was serviced most of its life actually) so I am kind of a perfectionist when it comes to keeping a car clean and right. Unfortunately in the e46 M3 world, really nice clean WELL MAINTAINED examples are becoming hard to find. This car is just that, a rare find.
Original Break In Sticker Still Intact
*Note - License plate light holder temporarily removed as I have been looking into having a custom one made*
Drivers seat is by far the worst thing condition wise on the car
