Hello guys,
I have a couple of questions and things I am planning to do with my car. I have an E46 1999 318i with 4-cylinder M43TU 1.9liter. I don't think the default cooling system and fan is efficient for our weather here in Jordan.
My car's pipes are always super hot and I feel them about to explode, however, temp remains normal at central. But I don't think the current cooling and fan would last long with this massive heat, from time to time, I have to change the thermostat and the plastic water flanges.
I wanna install a fan with clutch on engine instead of the electric fan, is that ok to gain further cooling? Mechanics here say this might increase fuel consumption and load on the engine, is this true?
The current temp sensor installed on the side of the radiator is 89 Cecilius, are there any sensors with lower temp like 70 for instance?
Please I need help with this, I don't think my engine can handle such heat for a long time even if the temp which appears to me at the dashboard is always normal...help help help
