I replaced my Intake Manifold Gasket along with some other gaskets and O-rings.
About a week or two before this I replaced all the plugs and was consistently getting about 24 mpg
After the IM Gasket replacement...Im getting 17 mpg?
That a big jump.
I double checked the Fuel Injectors...they seem to be seated properly and I dont see any leaks. I cant see the where the fuel line connects to the metal fuel rail...its behind the Intake Manifold...but I dont 'feel' any wetness or leaks back there either.
Any ideas what maybe going on? Does the car need to run for a couple hundred miles before the DME resets or something?
