Viewing all posts from one user in a thread howto

Not totally sure where to post this, so i'll just post it here. :) Mods feel free to move.

Hey All! I was looking through a really long build thread and got tired of weaving through all the misc posts by people and just wanted to view the OPs posts. There isn't a way to do this with the board software, so I wrote my own! Hopefully the mods don't mind... You're all welcome to use it, but please don't bombard my little server. :) And do wait, it takes time to fetch and sort through all the posts.

Just a few words of advice, this will output *the whole thread* with all the posts by that user. So if it is a big thread, you might want to use a start and end page or else it could be a very large page and perhaps crash your web browser. Also I grab all the pages as an anonymous user - so please don't try entering a username / password to login, it won't work. And of course most of the buttons etc won't work. This is just for reading without having to scroll and click next page a million times.

So, on to how this works. Just copy the below URL and fill in the blanks

Code:

So just pull out the postid out of a thread you want (it will be in your URL bar as http://ift.tt/1sjgak8 where ##### is the postid)

Please note that the username is CaSe SeNsItIvE.

If you want to use a start and end page, use this

Code:

Here are some examples that I pulled from the Showroom forum at random...

E46 M3 GTR Street Car - Build Thread

TheProf's 325 track/drift project "Yui"

http://ift.tt/1BR5pfP

JeppeJ: E46 M3 SMG SEDAN PROJECT (this one is HUGE, so lets just do the first 5 pages)

http://ift.tt/1BR5pw5

And because I like opensource, you'll all welcome to have a look at the code which i've posted to my github here http://ift.tt/1sjgakh This was a quick hour job so it isn't my best work. :)

Feel free to give me some suggestions or comments!
