Hey all I've owned my 2004 325Ci since 2008. I bought it used with 49K and it currently has 121K to date. I generally eschew paying a mechanic to work on my car. I just take all the money saved and put it in my stripper fund.:woot: (dont tell my wife).
Things done:
Oil filter gasket, Stewart water pump, thermostat and new radiator hoses, spark plugs twice, and VCG twice... probably a 3rd time in the near future as it continues to leak from lower front passenger corner:banghead:. (have to make sure cover isnt warped). Did a transmission flush twice and and filter change, and rear diff fluid change both with redline (should have done this sooner did this around 118K). PS pump and filter change. New cold CCV system, DISA repair kit, both sections of the intake boot. Hydraulic tensioner upgrade. Bilstein HD sport shocks for front and rear w/ Eibach springs. Front control arms with Melye bushings, new sway bar links and tie rod ends as well.
This past year has been damn expensive, but alot of these shouldn't reoccur for along time.
Things that need to be done, RTABs, Radiator and ET changeout with coolant drain/refill, fuel filter change (never done) New rotors and brakes. Some interior work by professional (driver seat split at seam on the seat portion, upholstery around pillars lost adhesive and looks like crap). I also would mind having some scratches and dents taken out that take away from the car's otherwise sterling appearance:). I admit this is more finnicky than my wife's Highlander, but it doesn't have a car payment so I can justify the expense. Hopefully I can start contributing on threads instead of just lurking.
