Hey guys,
Some of you may have seen me posting all over the forums already, but i would like to formally introduce myself.
Dennis, i have been in a few bmws before i got my hands on this one.
the last one was a 2007 335i, mtech. she was a beauty! had to sell her when i almost died last year(doctors gave me a 2% chance of living).
Back to the car, about 5 minutes after i got it i started taking her apart.
Trunk not working, drivers door tumbler busted, the passenger side seat release not working, corner light cracked, rear tail light cracked, AC switch not working and a really dumb fix was made, etc. etc.
when i started looking a little deeper i noticed that the stupid after market alarm is tapped into everything, the battery in the back probably would have trouble starting a smart car, the lower fender lining was rubbed through, and the outdoor temp sensor was busted.
It does seem like a lot is wrong with the car, but mechanically it is sound and the little things, well i like to get my hands dirty.
He just had all the major services completed so i am very happy with that. But i will need to find new struts as the ones i have are kind of shot.
Now you pic hungry whores here is your fix, while the car is being worked on im driving my sisters audi (pictured near the m3)
10 minutes after i got the car(literally), Trunk wires seemed fine and the trunk lid handle assembly was on wrong and i noticed the plastic is broke, time for a new one.
Links are also bad got those ordered:
while im down here, this is the hole the wheel rubbed through: lost the temp sensor because of that.
Tail light busted (drivers side), leds are on the way:
front end, scuff on the bumper and the corners are being replaced, im thinking smoke? Gimme your opinions.
Now to the Alarm, ****ing stupid alarm! Also I like to know my cars, i like to make sure everything is really clean as well.So the process of figuring out where the alarm is tapped and cleaning is underway:
Took out the center console to get to this one,
WTF is this?
there is obviously more but i chose not to take photos of everything.
The interior after a lot of **** was removed to clean:
these are the parts that i have cleaned a lot more to go.
and how could i forget my broken ass tumbler:
Repair for that should be here today or tomorrow.
My buddy that works at a bmw shop is ordering a lot of parts, changing the rubber trim pieces by the rear windows, above the windshield wipers, the gaskets around the headlights(outside by the hood), etc etc doing a bunch of little **** to make sure there is not a lot of random sounds.
Any suggestions while the car is taken apart? is it tough to get an aux cable in? should i hardwire my V1? ohh yeah the rain sensor wasn't on properly either so i had to clean that off and silicone it on yesterday, might have to take it off and do it again, got some air bubbles :(.
