Dont know how many people have wanted and/or have done this swap. But just to let you guys know, it can be done and its not that hard.
Reason for converting to newer style push in ignition coils was becuase they are much cheaper to repalce once they fail compared to the older style.
Parts needed:
New style valve cover
valve cover gasket
6 new style ignition coils
ignition harness
Like i said the swap was pretty straight forward, only thing I had to do was cut a 2-wire connector from the old harness and cut it into the newer harness. On a scale of 1-10 difficulty I would say its 5/10. If you can do a valve cover gasket, you can do this.
Dont know how much it would cost you to get all the parts from a junkyard or from someone on the forum but since I got the parts for free it was worth my time to do the swap. Anyway, if you have any questions feel free to ask, hope this may help someone in the future.
