Highway Driving

Hey,

this is my first BMW, got it last summer. I've never had anything close to a sports car prior to this, nor have I driven anything... BMW or otherwise. So, I have no frame of reference.

Car has 95,000 miles Of the records I have from PO, there isn't anything in the suspension arena to add to what I've done so far.

I've replaced front control arms, FCABS, struts, strut links, steering arms, and sway bar bushings in front. Shocks, RTABS, and the other bushings and ball joints on the rear trailing arm (replaced ball joint upper and lower on the rear arm). I replaced with Meyle or Lemforder for everything.

I then got an alignment.

The car handles around town fine I think. When I get it out in the twisties it performs beyond my expectations. I've yet to find the limit, but every time I push it a little harder, it responds quite well.

I have a stretch of Interstate 5 I drive on for my commute and I have the hardest time. The road hasn't been resurfaced for far too long and ruts have developed. My car does NOT deal with these ruts well at all. It is really tough to steer out of them and just staying in them is not really pleasant.

other vehicles I drive the same road and I can tell there are ruts, but the cars arent as much of a hand full.

Is this just the nature of a car like this, or do you suspect I've got something else going on.

thanks for the input
