Just wondering, according to redbook/carsales a 2006 330ci convertible weighs 1545kg however a 2001 convertible 330ci weighs 1650kg. This is a massive difference. I thought they were similar structurally. Why are older models 105 kg heavier? Are they using different materials? Also a 2006 convertible does 0-100 in 6.5 but 2001 does it in 7.3 sec. This due to 6 speed instead of 5 and weight reduction, anything else?. Thanks guys
