WTT: 2001 M5 for E46 M3

949-500-8493

Oakhurst, CA

Looking to get back into another E46 M3. LSB Only.

Clean title in hand. Purchased November 2013, I have put over $6k in parts/maintenance/performance (Wholesale COST, no paid labor, no inflated bullshit prices... all receipts IN HAND DOCUMENTED), 90% preventative. Everything listed I installed. Car was purchased with 121k miles on it, it now has 139k miles.

I'm in no rush to move on from the car. There are a few things I'd like to complete before it changes hands (TWS oil change, valve cover gaskets, timing check, alignment, misc small things). More pictures upon request, I kind of half-assed this. I have another 2001 M5 in the family so parts can be taken off and swapped out for stock if needed (I prefer to keep the Dinan exhaust).

I own all the BMW GT1/INPA Diagnostic computers and have constantly kept an eye on this motor. All Vanos tests come back without faults and within spec. I photograph every test so proof is available. This motor is perfect running.

Interior is without any nasty smells or abuse. Never smoked in. Leather is all near perfect except for the drivers seat that does show some creasing from previous owners (no rips, tears or crunchy sun dried leather!). All door panels are excellent condition. Both Seats and Door cards have a near original matte sheen.

Alcantara is all in beautiful non faded condition.

"Faults"

I purchased the car with 2nd gear synchro having issues. There are zero hydraulic issues and there are no slips from the clutch whatsoever. 2nd gear will scratch on poorly timed downshifts (into 2nd). A proper double clutch rev match equals ZERO issues. I have a replacement trans that I can negotiate on.

Car also came with an OK front bumper paint job. It needs to be redone. Hood and fenders are all good for mileage, minimal "rock chips". All original glass. The driver side exterior door handles have some crazing in the paint. Rear bumper was recent scraped up by an idiot driver (parking lot damage). A lot of it can be polished out.

Two front interior door handles have the usual Titanium trim peeling on the backside (the part you grab and can't really see). The front sides look good. Titanium center console trim has a few scratches in it.

"Detailed Specs"

Titanium Silver

Silverstone Sport Two-Tone Interior Nappa/Ostrich Leather

Vinyl Dash and Door Cards with double stitched center console and Alcantara rear deck + headliner + pillars (I hate extended leather so sport was a huge plus for me)

5/29/2001 Build Date (BZ99377)

16:9 Navigation MKIII (No Dead pixels, clean screen!)

Titanium Trim

Glass Moonroof

Alarm System

Xenons w/ Headlight Washer System

Heated Front Seats

Individual Audio System (the bigger dual rear factory sub version)

Park Distance Control

etc etc (full VIN Decoder list available)

BMW Vehicle History Report, Carfax Report, Autocheck Report, Original BMW Internal Use Vehicle Inquiry Report all included. All receipts included. ZERO Rust.

Given the amount of work that has gone into the car, $15k as-is. I've already done the expensive bit of owning a 100k+ mile E39 M5.

~$15k with the replacement trans and new clutch installed (just to do it while the trans is down thing, clutch is perfect now). $14k as-is

I prefer a trade, just adding a dollar amount to this in case it is asked.
