This year I finally turned my 325Ci into an autocross/track day car and I took the liberty of weighing all of the parts. I haven't found very good information regarding part weights, and the best info out there is the final weights of vehicles that were turned into full-fledged track cars. The problem is that a lot of the info out there is contradictory, and quite a few people make exaggerated claims (both over and under).
I will post the weights of the parts that I have removed, along with the weights of the parts that I have installed. The way I weight the parts is with a pretty nice scale, were I just stood on it and zero'd out the weight. Then I just grabbed the parts and weight them a few times each. Also, I'm adding links to the pages that have done something similar.
Here are the links I have found:

Okay, attached is a pdf of the spreadsheet I made. Here are the details:
- The stock wheels are Style 44s, and they were weighed with 225/45-17 tires
- The track wheels are Kosei K1 17x8.5 all around with 235/45-17
Hankook RS-3 v2 tires
- I never weighed my replacement seatbelt (Schroth Ralley 4), so I left the weight as 0. If anyone knows the weight, please let me know.
- The weight of the stock seatbelts includes everything in the back, plus the driver side belt.
- The A/C system that is listed does NOT include the condenser nor the evaporator. It does include everything else that is related to the A/C system.
- The stock hood weight is an absolute guess, based on what I have read. Please correct me if I am wrong.
- The replacement hood is a schmiedmann carbon hood with vents (not all carbon)
- Rear seat includes the whole system, total of 5 pieces
- Front seat is a Status Ring FIA fiberglass seat, cloth covering, with Status aluminum brackets and VACMotorsport adapter plates.
- Radio and speakers does not include the front 2 speakers, as I did not yet remove them when working on this
- Misc Interior parts includes all of the interior lights, covers, brackets, and random hardware that are all too light to weigh individually
- Replacement batter is a Braille B3121 (which I HIGHLY recommend)
Feel free to add to the list and critique. I think racing these non-Ms is highly undervalued, and there is a hell of a lot of weight that can be saved for a fairly light track car. Also, I'm starting to find out that people are hugely over-estimating the weight savings that non-M E36s have on E46s.
