Purchased at 167k. Coolant system overhaul and sea light off (da door from a window regulator replacement)
Also did oil and filter. Mobil 1 synthetic high mileage. 5-30 maybe, was skeptical about this oil but it needed done. (Ready to get grilled about this)
Recently lost power = replaced alternator.
Since about 171k heard a slight clicking on start-up and went away. Now the clicking is constant and just threw codes p030n ( I want to say 300, 305 and 306) (what does the db mean anyways)
No noticeable loss of power and don't really want to try the atf flush before an oil change. Mint know too much about vanos yet and anything else specific to bmw e46.
Clicking seems to be loudest around top drivers side front near oil filter housing.
Any help from you all is greatly appreciated
