Hey everyone (Merry Christmas!),
I was going to go ahead and install some new strut mounts among a couple other things tomorrow (friend was busy using the jack last couple days unfortunately). I know how to go about all parts of the install, but I have a question:
Is it safe for me to use an impact wrench to remove the strut retaining bolt, as well as replace it once i've fitted the new mount etc? This will be on H&R 'Street performance' struts. I WILL be using spring compressors, just to add.
Any input would be greatly appreciated, but I would most prefer a definitive answer. The alternative, of course, is an open ratchet and an allen key, which I'm not crazy about doing, as the bolts were originally torqued down with an impact wrench.
