Homelink mirrow / no keyless entry

I've done lots of searching and cannot find an answer if the mirror in my vert can be made to work with the keyless entry. The keys will not "register" with the car, and I know the Homelink / auto-dim / compass mirror (previous owner) is not OEM to the M3-vert. I read one thread about the possibility that all mirrors could be pinned & wired with a remote antenna.



Has anyone confirmed if this is possible?



Although I don't pay much attention to the compass, I like the homelink, but I'd REALLY like the keyless entry to work.
