Guys, I am reluctantly selling my rare Laguna Seca Blue M3 Coupe with only 40,500 miles to purchase a house. The car was ordered with very limited options. No Premium Pkg, No Cold Weather Pkg, No Navigation, No Sunroof, No xenon headlights. The only options on this car is Leather/Power Seats, HK sound and PDC… and that’s it.
I’m the 2nd owner and it’s strictly driven during summers. Car has never been tracked, raced or abused and is completely stock except for matte Black Grill set and Satin Black Apex EC-7 19” staggered wheels and TTFS SMG CSL tune which I think it a must for SMG owners. I know it’s an SMG and I would really appreciate it if the SMG comments are left outside of this post. This is my first SMG and have come to like it specially with the TTFS tune. I prefer 3 pedals myself and all my cars including my last E46 M3 had a stick. There is no replacement for true 6 spd and yes it’s not as engaging as the manual but this is a fantastic transmission once you know how to drive this thing. Anyways, here are the details on the car,

Unfortunately, I didn’t receive any maintenance records but I do have summary of service history from the dealer. The car was always serviced at International BMW in Milwaukee. Rod bearing recall was performed in October of 2004 at 5,674 miles. Carfax also shows a detailed maintenance history and shows the car was always maintained at International BMW.
I recently got the car fully inspected (6/2/2017) by Nikolas Motorsport here in Sylvan Lake, MI (nikolasmotorsport.com). The inspection did not show any Vanos or subframe issues. The only recommended maintenance was belt replacements (even though the belts did not show any signs of wear but was recommended as the history of when they were replaced was not known) and brake fluid flush. I had them perform both of the recommended maintenance. Below is the detail of work done under my ownership

Exterior
Exterior is 9.9 out of 10. No accident, ALL ORIGINAL FACTORY BMW BODY PANELS AND PAINT WITH MATHING VIN. Clear bra on the whole front end and rear fender flares. There is one small mark near the right Hofmeister Kink and one on the rear bumper (both touched-up with LSB paint) and couple of very small stone chips on the hood (you have to look hard for them). Clean CARFAX report available.
Interior
Interior is 9.5 out 10 and I only rate 9.5 because of the very few minor flaws. Center console trim and storage bin shows very minor signs of wear and the rearview mirror has leaked which are common signs of wear on E46 M3’s. The driver seat is in excellent condition with no signs of wear on the bolster. Passenger and rear seats were sparingly used. Leather gets cleaned and polished once a week to keep the DG looking new. No sagging of interior trim, no peeling, no dead pixels in the dash. The only other thing I would like to point out in full disclosure is the driver door titanium trim which looks like it was resprayed. Whoever did it, did not do an excellent job. Having said that, it’s done nicely and the paint matches with the rest of the interior trim pieces but if you look closely, you can tell it’s been re-done. It didn’t really bother me as it is really hard to tell but I thought I should mention it.
